"X" Investigation: Walkthrough:

As you know, Ekrid Malrow has been the target for an assassination attempt, and he has given you and Durtoi the task of finding the culprit (highlight to see the spoilers/hints).

This is a guide to help you solve the mystery, and not be at a total loss when you press "enter/return" too fast and miss some of the text, or do not know what a clue means.

If you missed one of the clues, fly around, make time pass. Then check your pilotlog. If/when the crons 389 to 394 and 405 to 409 are no longer mentioned in the bottom section of your pilotlog, return to Culuria, and you should get the mission once more.
Oh, and if you happen to die "planetside", then the same thing applies.

First place to look: Sirius II, in Sirius. Here, it's good to start by the bar. You'll hear that it had something to do with the Krim-Hwa holy symbols, in the Trade Centre, and Las Vegas is then the place to look. How about going there (this part is optional)? The only problem is you'll have to leave the planet before landing again and checking the Trade Centre.

Next place: Las Vegas, in Vega. Here, go to the Trade Centre. Someone tells you to come back "tomorrow". What does that mean? It means you lift off, and land back again RIGHT AWAY. Do not go away. Ok? Good? Well, you are now told to go to visit the Srikky Cark office. Think. Srikky Cark? You saw it in one of the very first missions. If you click "yes" too fast, Father Shir Bbuurt won't tell you where it is. But I'll tell you all the same: Syracuse, in Galvan.

Next place: Syracuse. Here, you are given a riddle: "Zeus once took the appearance of a white bull to seduce a maiden. Find the maiden, then her trade". If you are familiar with Greek mythology or if you do a quick search, you will know/find out that the maiden was called Europa. Europa, Sol system, here we come.

Next place: Europa trade centre. Here, lots happens, but in the end, the message is clear: go back to Las Vegas.

Next place: Las Vegas. After a fight, time to head back to Culuria!

And that's it, folks.
